Solid Sapele Wood Kitchen Worktops UK

The Sapele Worktops are a popular choice in our range, at Wood Worktops, due to their distinctive red and brown colouring, which darkens with age. Also known as Sapelli, this dark African timber has a distinct grain pattern of long, dark flowing lines, enhanced by its natural sheen and uniform texture.   

The Solid Sapele worktops are skilfully manufactured in the UK and Europe and are available in the 40mm staves (blocks), full stave (planks) and super stave (planks) options, as well as in a range of lengths, widths and thicknesses to suit your design. All of the timber used is harvested from sustainable sources.   

The Sapele Worktops are crafted by joining 40mm wooden staves (blocks) using V grooved joints, which give a hard-wearing, distinctive block patterned design. The Full Stave Sapele and Super Stave Sapele worktops are constructed from staves (planks) that run the entire worktop length and show off the long grain lines perfectly.   

Before installation, the worktops require oiling/sealing on surfaces, including the edges and sides. They also have square edges and square corners, as standard. If you would like your worktop ready to fit from delivery, you can select the Bespoke Cutting Service or the Oiling/Sealing Service when placing your order.   

We highly recommend using an experienced professional tradesperson to fit your worktop, as it is a skilled job which requires the correct tools and slotted or expansion brackets.  Select the correct size from the available options to place your worktop order.
