Full Stave Sapele Wood Worktops

£80.00£750.00

80mm-120mm Staves

Sapele, aka Sapelli, is a very smooth-looking timer with a very definite red colour and striped grain. It is a very popular wood not only for kitchen worktops but for bar countertops due to it being extremely hardwearing.  These are Sapele Worktops made from planks which run for the full length of the worktop, unlike the finger jointed panels. We offer this spectacular product in the widest range of sizes to help our customers avoid unnecessary wastage. All of our wooden worktops are manufactured to the highest possible standard using carefully selected timbers from sustainable sources.

IMPORTANT!

Worktops which are 920mm and 1240mm wide must be oiled and installed immediately after delivery due to the high risk of bowing / warping. We would recommend that additional support is added on the underside of wider worktops in order to prevent movement post installation.

Description

The Full Stave Sapele Worktop, with its sumptuous rich tones and elegant grain lines, creates a perfect eye-catching centrepiece for both the traditional and modern kitchen. This sustainably sourced, durable wood is a popular choice for kitchens and bars due to its timeless elegance, hard-wearing nature and mahogany-like colouring.

The worktops are expertly crafted from 38mm thick Sapele staves (planks in widths from 100m – 180mm), which run the whole length of the worktop—making the most of the stunning grain patterns and natural sheen. The worktops are available in an extensive range of sizes to fit your unique design. All worktops are skilfully sanded to a 150-grit smoothness and have square edges and corners, ready for oiling and sealing, which must be carried out before installation.

If you would like to save time and have your worktop ready to fit on delivery, you can add our Bespoke Cutting Service and Oiling/Sealing Service when placing your order. Due to our years of experience here at Wood Worktops, we understand the skill required to safely and securely fit a worktop. Therefore, we highly recommend that only a professional tradesperson undertake fitting using the correct brackets and tools. The wide worktops (1240mm) may also require extra support to create a worktop free of cupping, bowing or warping.

When you are ready to place your order, simply pick from the options available or if you require some assistance, call or email the team, who will be happy to help you.
